Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Concept development, technical specification, and prototyping of innovative clinical solutions.
  • Transitioning concepts and prototypes into deliverable products, including product interfaces, packaging, technical and customer documentation.
  • Technical vendor management, including managing 3rd party technology development projects and transitioning deliverable products to assembly and distribution vendors.
  • Providing technical input on specifications, schedules and product quality assurance.
  • Working closely with Executive Management team, providing technical input to contract negotiations, customer issues, product roll out schemes and vendor management issues.
  • Provide on-site support for beta testing of newly developed products. Resolve issues identified during Beta testing both internally and with 3rd party technology vendors.
  • Developing and promoting standard operating procedures, policies, configuration guidelines and configuration procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database/library of all required supporting documentation.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have a BS degree in an engineering discipline, or the equivalent and 5 years experience in enterprise systems support. Experience in the following areas preferred:

  • Leading 3rd party hardware and software development projects from prototyping through final product rollout.
  • Leading and completing system engineering project initiatives.
  • Providing technical support/information to internal customers/consumers.
  • Mechanical packaging and machining or the ability to work with vendors to accomplish packaging and machining tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience following a methodical integration and test approach.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network operating systems, cable creation and installation, network protocols, and network architectures.
  • Strong organizational, planning and documentation skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience or education in the field of healthcare, or a related discipline, preferred but not required.
